Bratwurst Casserole Recipe

This bratwurst casserole recipe is packed with crispy potatoes, brats, veggies, and gooey cheese. Perfect with a fried egg on top or stuffed into a tortilla!

INGREDIENTS

– Johnsonville Brats – mushrooms potatoes – red bell pepper – green onions salt – oil – shredded cheese mozzarella or Mexican cheese

STEP 1

In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the brats on all sides until they are golden brown. Set them aside to cool

 Dice the mushrooms into quarters and sauté them in the same skillet as you cooked the brats until golden brown. Remove them from heat and place them in a large bowl.

Dice the potatoes into small pieces. Brown them in the same skillet with a little bit of oil. Season to taste with a little bit of salt and add them to the bowl with the mushrooms.

Cut the sausage into rings and cook them on a skillet until the sides begin to brown. Add them to the bowl with the potatoes and mushrooms.

STEP 5

Dice the bell peppers and green onions into tiny pieces and stir them into the bowl with the sausage and veggies. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Stir in the shredded cheese and place all the ingredients into a baking dish. Cover the dish with a lid and let it bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes.
