Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These garlic mashed potatoes are made with roasted garlic, potatoes, butter, and cream! They are the deluxe version of the all-time classic side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 head garlic whole
  • 1 tbsp oil olive or avocado
  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream warmed

Instructions

  • Cut off the top of garlic head. Place it on a piece of foil. Drizzle with oil and bake at 400°F for 30 minutes or until garlic is softened.

  • Peel, rinse, and cut each potato into smaller pieces. Place potatoes in a pot. Salt and cover with water.

  • Cook until the potatoes are tender, about 40 minutes. Drain water from potatoes.

  • Add melted butter, heavy whipping cream, and squeeze out all the soft garlic from the baked garlic head.

  • Mash potatoes with a potato masher until the mixture is perfectly creamy and fluffy. Enjoy!
