Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes (30 Minute Dinner)

This easy one-pan recipe for Philly cheesesteak sloppy joes features ground beef, bell peppers, and provolone cheese stuffed into a soft bun. Crazy good!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 large bell pepper green, yellow or red peppers
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 6 oz Provolone cheese
  • 1 tbsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper adjust to taste
  • 6 buns

Instructions

  • Dice the onion and bell peppers into small cubes. Set them aside.

  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, break it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  • Add bell pepper and onion to the mix, sautéing them on medium-high until they soften.

  • Top off the beef mixture with cheese and cover the skillet with a lid. Remove the filling from heat and give the cheese a few minutes to allow it to melt.

  • Stuff each bun with a generous amount of filling.

  • Wrap the Philly cheesesteak sloppy joes in a parchment paper wrapper to keep the filling inside. Enjoy immediately!
