  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 lb oxtail
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 4 cups water


  • Preheat oven to 350 °F. Chop carrots, onion and potatoes to bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

  • Preheat a dutch oven with oil on high heat. Brown oxtail on all sides until it's golden brown.

  • Season the beef generously with salt and pepper. Add veggies and bay leaves to the pot.

  • Add water and stir to combine all ingredients together.

  • Cover with a lid and leave it to bake for at least 2 hours. Oxtails will fall off the bone when they are fully cooked.
