  • Place buckwheat, water, salt, and butter in a heavy sauce pan with a lid.

  • Bring it to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover sauce pan with a lid. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes.

  • Turn off the heat. Let buckwheat rest for 10 minutes. Fluff it with a fork. Serve hot.
