  • Puree the canned tomatoes in a blender or food processor. Rough chop the fresh basil.

  • Preheat a large pot with some olive oil. Press some garlic into the oil and sauté it until golden brown. Add the tomatoes, marsala wine, black pepper, sugar, salt, and chopped basil.
