Strawberry Sundae with Homemade Berry Sauce

This strawberry sundae is for you sweet and salty lovers. The combo of sweet strawberries, blueberry whipped cream, and pretzels is out of this world!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 cups Vanilla ice cream
  • 2 tbsp crushed pretzels

Instructions

  • In saucepan, combine the water, granulated sugar, and strawberries. Simmer on medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes, or until the liquid gets syrupy and the strawberries begin to breakdown.

  • Using a stand mixer, whip the heavy whipping cream, blueberries, and powdered sugar until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes).

  • To assemble the sundaes, spoon the warm strawberry compote into the bottom of the bowl or glass. Top with 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream.

  • Add a dollop of the blueberry whipped cream and sprinkle on the crushed pretzels. Serve immediately and enjoy!
