These M&M cookies are chewy and soft, yet hold an irresistible crunch from small M&M candies. Save a few for yourself, because there won't be any left over.
Prepare all the ingredients. The butter should be at room temperature. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
Beat the butter with both sugars. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat to combine.
In a separate bowl, whisk the flour with baking powder and baking soda. Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on a low speed.
Add half of the M&M's to the dough. Scoop the cookie dough and place on a lined baking sheet. Add the remaining M&M's to the tops of the cookies.
Bake the cookies for 7-11 minutes, depending on the size of the cookie. Remove cookies from the oven while they still appear a little soft, they will harden as they cool. Enjoy!
