Prepare ingredients for the dish. Rinse fillets under cold water, apt dry with a paper towel.
Place salmon skin down on a lined baking sheet with foil. Drizzle oil over the fillets and sprinkle them generously with garlic salt.
Move the rack closer to the top level. Turn on High broil and place the salmon to cook. It should be all cooked at 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon fillet. If you have leftovers, wrap it up with he foil, it will keep it moist.
