15 oz jumbo shells 1 lb ground beef 85% lean 1 large onion diced 24 oz spaghetti sauce 15 oz ricotta cheese 1/2 cup parmesan cheese 3 cups mozzarella cheese 1 tbsp Italian seasoning 1 large egg Bring salted water to a boil. Cook the jumbo pasta shells four minutes short of package instructions. Drain the water and set the shells aside.
Preheat a large skillet and add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add in the diced onion and cook until it's translucent.
Pour the spaghetti sauce into the cooking meat. Stir it together as it simmers for about five minutes. Set it aside.
In a separate bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan cheese, half a mozzarella cheese, egg, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well combined.
Spread half of the meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish (9x13 size). Fill each shell with the cheese mixture and place it in the baking dish.
Top the shells with the remaining meat sauce and sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese. Cover the dish with foil or a lid.
Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for 10 more minutes or until the cheese is lightly golden in color.
