These buttermilk biscuits are absolutely loaded with melty cheddar cheese. They're buttery, flaky, and unbelievably soft — sure to make all your cheesy dreams come true.

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients.

  • Using the large side of the grater, grate the frozen butter into the dry ingredients.

  • Add the grated cheese and the cold buttermilk. Use a spatula to stir together the ingredients, working quickly but gently.
    Shredded cheddar cheese added to the remainder biscuits ingredients in a bowl.
  • Scoop the dough onto a floured surface. Fold the dough over itself a few times to form a cohesive ball. It should be crumbly and flaky. Roll out the dough to a 1 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out 3 inch sized biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
    Cut out cheddar cheese biscuits.
  • Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them for 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Enjoy!
