Mushroom Bruschetta Recipe

Caramelized mushrooms are loaded onto toasted garlic bread, then topped with Parmesan and fragrant thyme. This mushroom bruschetta is the perfect appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 1 tbsp oil olive or avocado
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 lb mushrooms
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven on the broiler setting. Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Broil each side for about 3 minutes (or until golden).

  • Remove bread from oven, rub each side of the bread with garlic. Set aside.
    Toasted bread slices with garlic next to it.
  • Preheat a pan with butter. Slice the onion into half rings, and slice the mushrooms into strips. Add the veggies to the pan and sauté until they are lightly golden.

  • Top each bread piece with mushroom mixture, grated Parmesan and a sprinkle of thyme. Enjoy
