Ingredients

  • 10 bread slices brioche, challah, or french bread
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter for frying

Instructions

  • In a medium sized shallow bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

  • Dip both sides of the bread slices into the egg mixture.

  • On low heat, preheat a skillet with a tablespoon of butter. Add the soaked bread slices to the preheated skillet and fry until golden brown. Flip over and repeat.
