This one pan shrimp orzo consists of an inviting base of juicy shrimp and orzo pasta. Add in your favorite seasonings and veggie ingredients for an absolute masterpiece!
In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, oil, and garlic parsley salt. Mix together until the shrimp is well coated, then set aside.
Heat a cast iron panover medium-high heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic, and cook for about 30 seconds.
Add the orzo, stirring often until it is golden and toasted (about three minutes).
Pour in the wine and cook down until it has absorbed. Add the boiling water. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for about 10 minutes. The orzo should be almost fully cooked, with most of the water absorbed.
Nestle the shrimp into the orzo. Cover and cook 2-3 minutes. Uncover and stir until the shrimp and orzo is fully cooked and the water has fully evaporated.
If desired, drizzle with lemon juice and top with fresh parsley. Serve and enjoy!
