Juicy heirloom tomatoes and luscious burrata meet a punchy red wine vinaigrette in this effortless summer salad. Ready in minutes, it’s a burst of Italy on your plate.
Add the shallot, red wine vinegar, honey, and Dijon mustard to a small bowl. Whisk until combined.
Slowly drizzle in the 1/3 cup of olive oil while whisking continuously, until the dressing is smooth and emulsified. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste. Let it sit for about 1 hour, if possible.
Slice the tomatoes into about 1/2-inch-thick slices and halve the cherry tomatoes. Arrange them on a large serving platter, slightly overlapping them as you go. Sprinkle the tomatoes evenly with Maldon flaky salt.
Tear the burrata into pieces and place it around and over the tomatoes. Lightly break the basil leaves, then scatter them over the tomatoes and burrata.
Spoon the vinaigrette over the salad and serve right away.
