Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
  • 2 large garlic cloves minced
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper adjust to taste

Instructions

  • In a food processor, combine basil with pine nuts. Pulse 4 times.
    Basil and pine nuts in a food processor.
  • Add in garlic and cheese, then pulse 3 more times. Scrape the sides and pulse again.
    Lightly blended basil with nuts and cheese in a food processor.
  • Turn the food processor on low and slowly pour in olive oil into the mixture. Blend until the mixture is creamy. You may need to stop a few times to scrape the sides.
