This homemade stuffing is made with buttery toasted bread, fresh rosemary and parsley, and sautéed veggies. It's absolutely delicious on its own or as a holiday stuffing!
Preheat the oven to 400°F. To make your own bread cubes, slice a loaf of bread into half inch cubes. Place the cubes on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, or until crispy and golden. Allow the bread cubes to cool completely, then transfer them to a large bowl.
Chop the onions, celery, and garlic.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped veggies and cook until they are softened.
Add the sautéed veggies to the bread cubes. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then toss together.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs together with the chicken broth.
Transfer the stuffing into a buttered 9x13 baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and mix until all the cubes are evenly coated.
Bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes until golden brown. Top with fresh herbs. Serve immediately and enjoy!
