Easy Baked Apples (Old-Fashioned)

These tender, delicious baked apples are roasted to perfection with brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and walnuts. Your new favorite healthy snack or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  • Using a sharp, narrow knife, remove the step and seeds from the apples.
    Apples scooped out on a baking pan.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts or pecans.

  • Fill each apple with the brown sugar mixture. Top it off with 1/2 tbsp of butter.

  • Place the apples on a baking sheet. Pour the water into the bottom of the pan. Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes or until the apples are tender. Enjoy!
