Preheat the oven to 425°F. Place the puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface and gently roll it out into a 10x10 inch square.
Transfer the puff pastry onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or a cast iron skillet.
Place the Brie cheese in the center of the puff pastry. Spread the jam (and add any other toppings) on top of the cheese.
Whisk the egg and water together. Fold one edge of the pastry over the cheese and brush it with the egg wash. Fold the next edge over and brush it with egg wash as well. Continue folding and brushing the remaining edges in the same way.
Brush the top of the puff pastry package with the remaining egg wash. Gently score the puff pastry in four different areas, taking care not to cut all the way through.
Bake the Brie in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown. Allow the baked Brie to cool for about five minutes before serving. Enjoy!
