My boys are older now, but I still remember the struggle of finding toddler meals. To help you out, here are 10 easy, toddler-friendly recipes.

My two boys are now nearing adulthood, but I still remember the stress of how hard it was to feed a picky toddler. It’s always a confusing mix of textures, flavors, and colors that seem to be so hard for toddlers!
I still have family and friends with small kids, so I wanted to share some of my life-saving toddler and kid-friendly recipes with all of you. I know every mom can relate to this challenge to some degree, and I also recognize that not every toddler eats the same things. Whatever situation you’re in, please give yourself some grace — you’re doing an amazing job — and I hope this helps! 🤍
Hot tip: I promise this picky stage won’t last forever! One thing I did is I always tried to include a little bit of something new on my kid’s plate during family meals. It helped them get used to the idea of new foods in an easy way.
10 Toddler Friendly Recipes
1. Cottage Cheese Pancakes
Pancakes were my go-to breakfasts when my boys were little. Seems like all kids love fruit, so it made a pancake breakfast an easy win. Plus, when I started adding cottage cheese, I knew they were getting a good amount of protein, too.

2. Chicken Kotleti (Meatballs)
I’m so thankful for my Slavic background and that kotleti were part of my growing up and a regular rotation when my boys were little. My kids loved the flavor and it was also an easy meat to meal prep and freeze for any time I needed it (which means more time to play, and less time to cook!).

3. Air Fryer Chicken Bites
Chicken bites were a very versatile and easy-to-prep protein when my boys were small. The air fryer got popular right around when they were toddlers, and boy did it make things so much easier! Prep for these takes only 5 minutes and I love that I could serve these chicken bites with anything and feel good about it!

4. Pizza Rolls
I find that most kids love pizza and bread, so pizza rolls are an absolute go-to for almost every toddler. I often made these as a to-go meal or snack, as they are easy to hold and not very messy (a super beneficial “must” for a toddler friendly recipe!). You can also add in any of your kids’ favorite pizza ingredients (sausage, tomatoes, peppers, or any other extra veggies).

5. Ground Beef Burritos
These burritos were on repeat from toddlerhood into teenager-hood for me (when the boys were insatiably hungry all the time!). These burritos also don’t take too long to prep, and they can easily be frozen to pull out for a quick meal anytime.

6. Turkey Zucchini Meatballs
It can be hard to make toddlers eat vegetables, especially green vegetables, right? My hack to getting my boys to eat zucchini was to grate it up really finely and mix it into meatballs. They never even noticed! Serve them with pasta, potatoes, or rice – anything goes!

7. Easy Baked Mac & Cheese
This mac and cheese recipe was a frequent flier in our house, too. I would make it with almost any cheese I had on hand at the time, and it pairs so well with anything else your toddler might be eating! This recipe also makes enough for the whole family!

8. Baked Chicken Tenders
These homemade chicken tenders are made by dipping the chicken into a garlic Parmesan-panko mixture, then baking to crispy, golden perfection. No frying needed!

9. Uzbek Plov
Plov is another Slavic dish I’m eternally grateful for. It combines carbs, protein, and a bit of veggies together all in one. It’s also really easy to make a large batch to last you and your kids for a few days, at least!

10. Popsicles
Instead of store-bought popsicles, I often made my own versions at home with popsicle molds. I could include both veggies and fruits, and change up the ingredients to whatever was in season or on hand at the time. I definitely added some spinach, carrots, and maybe even a bit of broccoli at one point or another!
