Air Fryer Cheesy Jalapeño Poppers are stuffed with cheddar cheese and cream cheese and wrapped in crispy bacon. This quick and easy recipe makes for the perfect appetizer or protein-filled snack.

Air Fryer jalapeno Poppers on a plate

Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers are so perfect for parties or a family game night. These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are a host’s best friend because they can be made a couple of days in advance and thrown into the air fryer right before serving. And with a combined prep and cook time just under 30 minutes, they are a no-brainer to make.

Traditional poppers are battered and deep fried, but the air fryer gets them perfectly crispy with a fraction of the fat. Add them to a keto or low-carb diet when a craving for something naughty strikes.

How to Make Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers?

Mix, stuff and air fry your way to flavor town. Follow these simple steps and get ready to sink your teeth into perfection:

  • Combine cream cheese, garlic parsley salt and cheddar cheese.
  • Slice jalapeños in the center and scoop out the seeds and membranes with the edge of a spoon.
  • Stuff each jalapeño with cheese filling. Wrap tightly with bacon.
  • Place poppers in air fryer basket.
  • Air fry at 390°F for 10-12 minutes or until the bacon is golden and crispy.

Hot Tip: When working with jalapeños, I would highly recommend wearing gloves and avoiding touching your face. The juices linger on hands and are painful when they get into your eyes or into cuts!

Getting Creative: Feel free to switch up the shredded cheese you use. Mozzarella, sharp cheddar, and even manchengo work wonderfully. You can also add extra garlic powder if you are garlic addict or a sprinkling of smoked paprika. We like to use neutral-flavored bacon, but you can use maple or Applewood smoked if you prefer. The sky’s the limit!

Serving Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers are the perfect addition to any game day spread or pot luck. I like to bust them out whenever the grill is fired up or when Air Fryer Chicken Wings are on the menu. They also make for the perfect low-carb or keto-friendly meal when paired with a Garden Salad.

Making Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers in Advance

There are a few different ways you can make Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers ahead of time. Here’s how:

  • Prep & Air Fryer Later – Prep your poppers and store them in an airtight container for up to three days. When you’re ready to serve, pop them in the air fryer.
  • Fully Cooked – Air fry your poppers and store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week. Reheat them in the microwave for 45 seconds, or pop them in the air fryer for no longer than a minute to get them extra crispy.

Hot Tip: It is best to reheat poppers in an air fryer or bake them for a few minutes. They will be as good as new!
