I’m always looking for ways to introduce more protein to my life. As much as I love meat and seafood, sometimes I want to switch it up. Cottage cheese has always been one of my lifelong obsessions — especially when I found out the sneaky amount of protein in it! That’s why I created this cottage cheese dip.

This dip revolutionizes the idea that cottage cheese is chunky and plain. It’s guaranteed to leave your taste buds tingling with flavor and your hunger satiated. And of course, it’s ridiculously easy and quick to make — perfect for those times when you need a last-minute dip or a high-protein snack!

How To Make Cottage Cheese Dip

If you have five minutes, a few ingredients, and a blending tool, you’re all set to make this dip!

  • Blend everything up: Blend all the ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  • Serve the dip: Scoop the dip into a serving bowl, garnish with extra herbs, and enjoy with crackers or veggies!

Tips for the Best Cottage Cheese Dip

The best part about this cottage cheese dip is how easily customizable it is. Follow these tips and get ready for a dip that will blow your mind!

  • Use your favorite cottage cheese. I personally love full-fat cottage cheese — the flavor and creaminess is unbeatable! However, feel free to use low-fat cottage cheese if you prefer.
  • Adjust the herbs and seasonings to taste. For an herby Italian flair, add basil and oregano (fresh or dried) to the mix. For more spice, add paprika, chili powder, and/or red pepper flakes.
  • Blend to your desired texture. I like my dips pretty smooth, but you can totally leave some chunks if you prefer. Use a high-powered blender or food processor for the perfect consistency.
  • Add a garnish. You know the saying “you eat with your eyes first?” That’s why I serve the dip in a pretty bowl (I love the color contrast of this set) with extra fresh herbs on top!

Ways To Serve

No matter what time of the year it is, this cottage cheese dip is bound to be a hot commodity. I love arranging a platter so everyone can pick their favorite ingredients to dip. First off, I always add grilled veggies, roasted veggies, or fresh veggies (like carrots, celery, cucumbers, and bell peppers). For a carby crunch, I add sourdough crackers, pita bread or chips, and/or tortilla chips. If I’m still feeling low on protein, buffalo chicken wings or garlic Parmesan wings hit the spot.

Storage

Store cottage cheese dip for up to four days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
