As we step into August, I’m amazed at how quickly the summer is flying by. Our boys are already going back to school in a few weeks… can you believe it?? When Momsdish first started, Jacob was only two years old — and now, he’s a senior in high school. My goal for this school year is to be more intentional than ever about putting the best homemade dinners on the table!

Meaty Monday: Honey Chicken Skewers
Say goodbye to overcooked chicken breast with these extra juicy chicken kabobs. I’m obsessed with the sweet and tangy marinade, and I love how quickly the chicken cooks on the grill (20 minutes!).

Hot tips
- Instead of making an extra veggie side dish, thread them straight onto the skewers! Try bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, or anything else you have on hand.
- Make a double batch of steamed basmati rice for tonight and tomorrow’s dinner.
Tex-Mex Tuesday: Burrito Bowl
If you guys know anything about our family, you know that we love staying active and eating clean. Burrito bowls are one of our favorite meals to meet our health goals — especially when they’re made with ribeye steak.

Hot tips
- If you don’t feel like turning your oven on (I get it), opt for grilled ribeye instead.
- Take advantage of ripe corn with a corn tomato and avocado salad for topping.
Slavic Wednesday: Kotleti (Meatballs)
These ground chicken meatballs are straight from my grandma’s recipe book. Do a bit of mixing, shaping, and frying, and you’ll have a taste of my childhood for dinner!

Hot tips
- My favorite way to enjoy kotleti is with buckwheat and a cabbage cucumber salad.
- Freeze any leftover meatballs for up to three months. Whenever you need a quick protein solution for lunch or dinner, pull them out and reheat them in the air fryer!
Effortless Thursday: Creamy Chicken & Broccoli
The best meals in my book are the ones that come together quickly and easily, taste delicious, and require minimal clean-up. That’s why this one-pan chicken & broccoli is an all-around winner!

Hot tips
- Round out the meal with homemade pasta, or mop up the yummy cream sauce with sourdough biscuits.
Fusion Friday: Fried Rice
Whenever I have leftover protein and veggies, making fried rice is a no-brainer. Swap the shrimp in the recipe for yesterday’s chicken and broccoli, and it might just become one of your new favorite dishes.

Hot tips
- Although fried rice can totally be made in a skillet, I highly recommend investing in a good wok.
- Keep up the Asian theme with salmon spring rolls and/or an Asian cucumber salad.
Snack of the Week: Pineapple Salsa + Baked Tortilla Chips
Pineapple is practically synonymous with summer, and this vibrant salsa is no exception. Pair it with homemade tortilla chips to satisfy all your sweet and salty cravings.

Dessert of the Week: Air Fryer Peaches
With 15 minutes and an air fryer, transform your favorite stone fruit into an irresistible dessert! These peaches remind me of the baked variety my grandma used to make, except with a modern twist.
