Cold sandwiches are good, but hot sandwiches are GREAT! Here are my top nine hot sandwich recipes that feature savory, warm fillings and crusty golden-brown bread.

I don’t know about you, but my family loves sandwiches. I love how sandwiches are a whole meal in one, plus they’re super easy to take on-the-go. It’s a pretty effortless, easy meal full of warmth, savory flavors, and melty goodness (my family is a sucker for melty cheese!).

Especially on a chilly day, hot sandwiches are definitely on my menu. If you need to, feel free to prep parts of the sandwiches in advance and cook/warm them up right before serving. Ok, now less talking and more eating! Here are my nine favorite hot sandwiches you have to try!

9 Hot Sandwiches to Try

4. Tuna Melts

Canned tuna is such an easy, affordable way to get in protein and omega-3’s. So, use it to make these tuna melts for a really yummy, nutritious snack or meal for you and your family. If you want, feel free to add bacon, too!

6. Steak Sandwich

You’re gonna love this meaty sandwich. I love the crunch of the baguette sandwich, paired with the steak, cheese, and caramelized onions. I also use a garlic herb butter mixture to really send the flavor over the top!

7. Pastrami Sandwich

Tangy sandwiches are in a delicious category of their own. This hot sandwich is made with toasted rye bread, warm pastrami, tangy sauerkraut, and Dijon mustard. Are you salivating yet? I know I am!

8. Chicken Philly Cheesesteak

Philly cheesesteak-anything is a huge hit in my family. Sometimes, we want to do something other than beef, so that’s when this chicken twist comes into play. Give this chicken philly a try — you’ll love it!

9. Ham & Cheese Sliders

Ham and cheese sliders are super easy and great for a crowd. Gamedays, birthday parties, or any event is empty if you don’t put these hot sandwiches out to share! As always, feel free to change it up with different kinds of cheese, a bit of sauce (barbecue sauce or hot sauce are good!), or veggies to make it a new favorite.
