Tips For the Best Honey Dijon Dressing

Don’t be afraid to have a little fun with this recipe! Venture out and customize this honey Dijon dressing to make it your own.

  • Use good quality Dijon mustard. The Dijon is the star of the show here, so pick one that you LOVE the taste of. This kind is my favorite!
  • Add in any fresh herbs you have on hand. I always have a variety of fresh herbs in my garden or kitchen, so I throw them into almost everything I make. Parsley, chives, dill, thyme, oregano, etc all make tasty additions.
  • Adjust the flavors to your preference. This dressing is super customizable, so don’t feel confined to the recipe! If you like a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes and/or fresh minced garlic. If you prefer more sweetness, increase the amount of honey. Some people also love adding a splash of apple cider vinegar.
  • Make sure the lid is on tightly before shaking. Yes, I have learned the hard way. And sure, you can whisk this dressing together in a bowl… but shaking is so much more fun!

Storage

This honey Dijon dressing tastes even better as it sits! Make a double batch, and keep it stored in a glass jar in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks. Shake the dressing before using.

Hot tip: If you have any leftover dressing, use it as a marinade for chicken, pork, or salmon! The honey in the dressing helps to create a beautiful caramelized crust.
